Regeneration, performance, prevention – from the inside out

Why blood cleansing, infusions and lymphatic drainage are particularly useful for active people

Regular training, targeted nutrition, regeneration: an active lifestyle is no longer based on training alone – but on the conscious interplay of exercise, nutrition and recovery. Anyone who knows their body also knows how important it is to support it holistically. People who are particularly active in sports are often well informed about macronutrients, supplements and stress management – but one aspect usually remains under the radar: systemic stresses that can accumulate in the body despite a healthy lifestyle.

This is where a modern medical procedure used at VitaSangius comes in: apheresis. apheresisalso known as therapeutic blood purification. For us, it is not a wellness offer, but a serious option for prevention, regeneration and cellular relief – especially for physically active people with high demands on performance and health. Find out more here.

Apheresis – what does blood purification mean in modern medicine?

Apheresis is a medically recognized procedure in which blood is circulated outside the body and passed through special filters. The aim is to remove certain potentially harmful substances from the blood plasma – including:

  • oxidative substances (e.g. lipid peroxides)
  • pro-inflammatory cytokines
  • Autoantibodies and immune complexes
  • Microtoxins from the environment, food or metabolic processes

Unlike classic detoxification cures or liver detox programs, apheresis is based on a direct, measurable physical mechanism: certain plasma components are selectively retained and excreted, while blood cells and healthy components remain in the body.

The aim is not a general “detoxification”, but rather a targeted relief of the immune system and metabolism – in places where stress can accumulate over time due to training, stress, environment or diet, which you do not consciously feel, but which become noticeable when they are reduced.

Why is this particularly interesting for athletes?

Even if physically active people usually have a good body image and a stable immune system, the following applies:
Performance generates stress – at a cellular, hormonal and immunological level.

These include:

  • Repeated micro-inflammation due to muscle strain
  • an increased oxidative metabolism
  • Temporary weakening of the immune system after intensive training phases
  • Hormonal imbalances due to chronic pressure to perform

In the long term, this can exhaust the body, even if you are subjectively still “in a good mood”. This is precisely where we come in with apheresis – as targeted regeneration from within, not just when symptoms arise, but before chronic exhaustion, susceptibility to infection or inflammatory processes manifest themselves.

Does this make sense for everyone?

No – we do not make blanket recommendations. But:
We advise athletically active people with high stress levels, intensive training phases or a health history to undergo a medical check-up at regular intervals to determine whether apheresis is an option. For many of our patients, one treatment per year – in addition to their healthy lifestyle – has proven to be a valuable measure.

Our recommendation is therefore not: “Everyone needs an apheresis.”
Rather: “Anyone who does a lot should regularly consider systemic relief – and decide with medical supervision.”

Infusions as a targeted nutrient supply – especially for active people

High-performance bodies have a high consumption – not only of energy, but also of micronutrients, minerals and vitamins. Often underestimated are subtle deficiencies that can occur even with good nutrition – such as increased magnesium consumption during muscle activity or vitamin C loss due to oxidative stress.

At VitaSangius, we offer the right infusion for precisely this purpose:

Lymphatic drainage – underestimated booster for regeneration & drainage

Manual or apparative lymphatic drainage is often only seen in connection with swelling – but it is a highly effective tool for supporting the entire detoxification system:

  • Activation of the lymph flow
  • Mobilization of fluids & connective tissue substances
  • Support for natural elimination after apheresis or infusions
  • Muscle relaxation and vegetative calming

We recommend a combination of apheresis, infusion and lymphatic drainage, particularly after intensive sporting activities or as part of a holistic regeneration strategy, in order to relieve the body systemically – not just locally.
